Show V - Commimity Wendella Raisor to celebrate 80th birthday Mountainside String Quartet performs in concert February 27 . Wendella Williams Raisor will celebrate her 80th birthday at an open house on March 16. The open house will be held at the LDS Pleasant Green Ward House, 8939 West 3000 South in Magna, from 5 to 8 p.m. It is hosted by Wendellas children and grandchildren. Wendella was bom in Coltman, by Sharon Linschoten Music enthusiasts ranging from small children to senior citizen were treated to the talented renditions from the Mountainside String Quartet of the American West Symphony last Tuesday night, February 27, in a concert held at Cyprus High School and sored by the Magna Community Arts s- A Idaho and moved to Utah in 1926. Here she met and later married Ernest Kenner Raisor. Together, they reared four v vc?' children, Roberta (Madsen), deceased; Jane (Beagley) of Magna; Jay W. of Murray; and E. Max Raisor of Provo. Ernest passed away October 1, 1972. Wendella is actively engaged in the I $ M ' , Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and ' !f Relief Society. She attends church WENDELLA RAISOR regularly and enjoys friends and family. She has taught in all organizations. She was bom April 7, 1917 in Garfield to Wilfred and Laura Johnson Nielsen. Dorothy married Stanley L. Searle on May 22, 1937; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 21, 1949. He passed away in 1963. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served as the Li v K , Council. Carita Kenney and Allison Clayton both played their violins. Annette Brin-to- n played her viola, and Linda Gashler performed beautifully on her cello.
