Graduates of the course studied systems security operations, tactics, and weapons training, and earned credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Fairchild is the son of Margaret Fair-chiof Magna. Airman The family of Royal Larsen would like to announce his 80th birthday on June 22. There will be a family dinner at the Larsen home on June 24, hosted by Ida Larsen, his wife of 57 years, his children, and grandchildren, in order to honor this occasion. Royal was bom in 1909 in Castle Dale, Utah and then later moved to Magna. He worked for American Smelting and Kennecott for 44 years until he retired in 1971. In addition to he and his wife being active church members, Royal is a Silver Beaver Scouter and has participated in scouting for forty years. grandfather, a very special and happy birthday. Kelly Air Force Reserve Airman Ronald D. Kelly has graduated from Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and customs, and received special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the community college of the Air Force. Kelly is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Kelly of 3240 S. Lehi Drive, West Valley City. He is a 1985 graduate of Granger High School. David B. Bennett Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class David B. Bennett, son of Joseph J. Bennett of 3741 South 4310 West, West Valley City, recently returned from deployment to the Mediterranean Sea aboard the guided missile frigate USS Mclnemey, homeported in Mayport, Florida. While deployed, he participated in the rescue of 12 crewmen from a sinking Maltese merchant ship. Bennett visited several foreign ports which included Italy, Egypt, Tunisia, and Spain. A 1975 graduate of Cottonwood High School, he joined the Navy in January 1976. Frank Scott B. Beck Bom December 12, 1968 in Salt Lake City to Max Jared and Fern Miller Beck. Graduated from Cyprus High School where he was an football player, and he loved athletics. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was also active in Magna Mt. Riders. He is survived by his parents; grand- - Erik A. Andersen Sgt. Erik A. Anderson, son of Arthur W.R. and Marjorie Andersen of 4310 Bennion Road, Taylorsville, has in the U.S. Air Force after being selected for career status. Albert Assigned at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, he was approved for by a board which considered character and performance. He is an avionics test station and component specialist with the 366th Component Repair Squadron. and R. Johnson Bom April 24, 1957 in Juarez, Mexico to Arlin R. and Elowina Gomez Johnson. Married Gaye Lythgoe on July 6, 1980 in Salt Lake City. He graduated from Cyprus High School and the University of Utah with a degree in economics. Employed at Kennecott Copper Corp. for five years, His wife, Nancy, is the daughter of Jay T. and Muriel Dumas of 862 Casa Negra Avenue, Midvale. The sergeant is a 1976 graduate of Cottonwood High School. and also worked five years at Cyprus Credit Union as collections manager and data processor. Survived by his wife, Gaye; stepsons, Joe, Bob, and Mike Davis, all of Magna; mother, Elowina Gomez, Mexico; sister, Mrs. Hal (Ellie) s, Johnston, Las Vegas, Nevada; Balia, Pattie, and Christy, all of Mexico. Frederick, son of John A. and Lee Ann B.
