Samuel J. Taylor, 51, of Moab, was approved to be the new commission chairman, and Todd G. Weston, 58, of Logan, was named as a new commissioner. Taylor was first appointed to the commission in 1973 and has been acting chairman since January, 1985. He is the publisher of the Moab and received the Quintus Wilson Award from the University of Utah for Outstanding Journalist of the Year.
