Another section features day use picnic areas for smaller groups on a nonreservation basis, and the final area is an overnight campground. Planning and development of Perception Park has been a long time project of the Utah Federation of Womens Clubs and the Womens Conservation Council of Utah. Both organizations assisted in raising funds to undertake the project and to make the public aware of the need and demand for such a facility. In addition, they planted over 300 trees at the site in 1977. The dedication at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 1980, will be conducted by the two womens groups with Forest Service assistance at Perception Park. It will cap a $523,000 construction project that began in May, 1979 and will end in August, 1980.
