The main purpose of the meeting was to elect the new officers for the coming 1980-8school year. Those nominated and e'ted by unanimous vote v ie: Joyce Payne, President; Vice Trudy Lubbers, President; Marlene Alva, Secretary; JoAnne Kelson, 2nd Vice Treasurer; 1 MANY FOURTH GRADERS at Whittier Elementary performed for assembled parents and friends at the PTA meeting held last week. A program depicting musical eras was presented beginning with the Flapper Era and ending with Rock n Roll. President, Dr. and Jordon; Representative, Richard Teacher LaRue of apCertificates preciation were given to all of the former officers, board members, commissioners and chairmen by President Joyce Payne. Among these honors are Ball Canning winner at the state fair in 1978 and best of show for an antique refinished cedar chest at the state fair in 1977. Shari was awarded the highest honor possible in the program which she has participated in for 10 years. The highest honor was a National trip to the Congress in November, 1978. She stayed a week and a half at the Chicago Conrad-Hilto- n to attend the national conference. In December of 1979 she won runner-u- p in the Make It With Wool Contest at Cyprus. Even more recently she competed in the ZCMI Table ri Named at School homemaking qualified homemaking scholar since her activities and interests ta! ' in a broad range.
