Hunter News Susan Mills was lucky winner of a ten speed bicycle given June 25 at the Carnival held at Hunter Park for the Bonnet Ball League. The three tiered wedding cake was placed on a special table and was white with pastel roses cascading over the sides of the layers which were separated with columns. I Mr. and Mrs. Hiland Kent spent 10 interesting days accompanied by Agnes sister of Mrs. Kent The three spent two nights at Core-de-levisiting with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Willden and family while there. The Willdens entertained them at dinner during their stay. They attended the Worlds Fair which they described as well organized and most of all, can be seen in one day. They went to Lake Louise, which is still frozen over, and back through British Columbia, where they ferried to Victoria. The Buck-a- rt Gardens proved well worth seeing. From there to Seattle where they looked over the city from the Space Needle and also rode the s', i graduate say M. Plans for the Bonnet Ball league began in September and with professional counseling, rules and regulations were formed. All Star Games will begin July 8 through the 18th, with Hunter as host Teams from Glendale, Holladay, Sandy, Midvale and Hunter will play. In the majors will be Joey Evans, Kathy Robinson, Sue Pierce, Michele Staten, Sharon Hook, Lisa Levitt, Carrie Barbara Pierce, Riley, Janet Wi- lliams, Terry Knapton, Kelly Kent, Milinda Harvey, Julie Empey, Diane Ervin, Cinand Sandy Robinson dy Bates. There will be four alternates and this team will be coached by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Peay. Playing on the minor team will be Angie Dobesh, Leslie Pearson, Kathy Pearce, Cyd Larsen, Jackie Christopher, Cindy Poe, Sue Drown, Becky Atwood, Lan-etHill, Michele Bruckner, Jullie Shelly Marianni, te Payne, Terry Nielson, Lori Pearson, and Julie Larsen, with four alternates. They will be coached by Mr. and Mrs. Mars Killpack. Queens were elected for each League with Jody Payne for minors and Sandy Bates for majors. Each were awarded a radio. A party is being planned for the coaches and managers in the near future and nominations will be made for next years officers. Officers for this year exthanks press their heart-fe- lt to all who worked so diligently. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bott hosted a barbecue honoring Mr. and Mrs. Terry Schuman, neighbors who are moving to another area soon. The party was held June 29 and a lovely gift was presented to the Schumans. The Rasmus Nielson family reunion was held June 24 at Riverside Park. One dehundred and forty-nin- e scendants attended. Members from Hunter included Annie Petersen, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Petterssonand family, Mr. and Mrs. Hiland and Kent, Lavina Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Arvle Nielson and family. Arvle Nielson was in charge and members of each family presented a portion of the program. Pot luck dinner was served and pictures were taken of the event. The prayer was offered by Robert Smith, of Lavina son-in-la- w Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Drown are home after spending a week with their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hansen of Portland, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen escorted their guests to many interesting sites including the zoo and the beach. Mrs. Hansen with her daughter, accompanied the Britany son-in-la- Drowns home and will fly back to Portland July 3. Hunter Stake participated in the Youth Conference held Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Utah State University. President Don- with his counselors, Gerald Wright and Merrill Dimick and ward accompanied apbishops proximately 300 youth to the conference. The schedule included a movie, classes of various subjects, riding the acice block, other tivities as well as indoor, a record-ho- p and Saturday evening a lovely dinner dance was held. Free time was alloted during the days, and Sunday the boys attended Priesthood Meeting and the girls held a meeting followed by a testimony meeting for both After dinner the group returned home. ald C.
