He entered the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, where he graduated in 1958. He then worked in Holladay for two years until he moved to Magna to open his own drugstore. How does business in Magna compare with that in Holla-day- ? I like the people and the town much better here, Orchard replied. And I like working for myself. Generally business has been better this year than last and Orchard hopes it will continue to improve. If he continues in the tradition of the small town, drug store and provides his customers with the friendly, helpful service he now gives, Orchard certainly should continue to be successful. Why did Orchard decide to become a pharmacist? Well, he stated, lused Tavey and Janet Perry. The varsity cheerleaders also attended the five day clinic. Earlier in the year they held a car wash that paid for their uniforms; however, the school paid their way to Logan. The junior varsity cheerleaders have no other money making projects planned, yet. They were selected at the end of last school year- - - two from every class. They were chosen after each performed before the studentbody of Cyprus and were voted for. really learned a lot from our classes, and were glad that with the help of Magna citizens, we were able to attend the cheerleading clinic at Logan, stated Miss Bryan. They then spend 10 or 12 hours wading rough water, fighting slippery rocks and sinking mud, and then, worn and weary, drive those same "couple hundred miles back home. Still other anglers are will- ing to fight frantic seas for a days offshore fishing, and others will tramp swamps and climb mountains for a day of good fishing.
