Championship A meet at Cottonwood High School, March 31 and April 1. Fourteen teams from Utah participated in this meet, which concluded the winter season. In addition to winning the A" Champion meet, the Regional Dual Championship and the Holladay Open Meet, Coach Darwin Killpack was selected Coach of the Year for the third time in four years by his fellow coaches. Other perforoutstanding mances were turned in by Shawna Tucker and Danny McClellan who swam the 100 yard freestyle in less than a minute. Shawna was clocked at 59.5 seconds and Danny was clocked at 59.2 seconds. This team victory was accomplished without the services of one of the top swimmers, Lisa Kuida, who is competing in the National A.A.U. Championship meet at Dallas, Texas. LEAVES FOR TEXAS Lisa Kuida, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Hiroshi Kuida, lef Tuesday for Dallas, Texas, where she will compete in the National A.A.U. Swimming meet. She was accompanied by her mother and Coach Darwin Killpack. Lisa is the first girl from the intermountain area to qualify for the nationals. Only one other swimmer, Norris Udy of Kearns has achieved this honor. Lisa will compete in the 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard butterfly. She qualified with national times in these events earlier in the season at r SCHOOL MENUS meets.
