Mc- Carty and their daughter, Karen, 1319 Trail Ridge Road, Em- poria, Kansas, send greetings to everyone in this area. Rev. McCarty is a former minister of the First Baptist Community Church in Magna. With this greetThey say: ing, we wish everyone in the Magna-Hunte- r area all the joys of the Christmas season. This year hasnt been the most exciting of our lives, but we have lived every day of it. Charles is teaching English at the College of Emporia, a school related to the United Presbyterian Church. He is Moderator at the First Baptist Church, and isnt supplying a pulpit somewhere, teaches in the Church School. During the summer vacation, he worked at the plastering trade, and that accounts for the fact that we didnt go anywhere and didnt get to visit anyone except the friends and relatives who came here to visit us. We are glad that this exchange of greetings at Christmas time helps us keep in touch. Luanna (Mrs. McCarty) is a e student at the College of Emporia, working on elementary teacher certification. She expects to complete this work when he part-tim- next May. She serves as Childrens Chairman on the Board of Christian Education in the First Baptist Church, and keeps busy making a home for the family. Karen (their daughter) is a freshman in high school this year. She enjoys her studies, especially Home Living, and has put into practice quite a few things she has learned in this course. She is in an Honors English class, and also works on the school newspaper. Last spring she started wearing braces on her teeth, and she will wear them a few months more. During the summer, she visited for a month in Utah, spending a week of that time at Camp Utaba. We have another grandchild Keith and Olive have a boy, Sean, born last June 1. That makes four grandchildren for us, two boys and two girls.
