Show Thursday, December 7, 1967 MAGNA TIMES, Magna, Utah HUNTER YOUTH ENDS AFB TRAINING UNIT AT LACKLAND AFB Mr. and Mrs. Dean Farnsworth enjoyed the company of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford E. Young Jr., Mrs. Farnsworths brother and their chiland sister-in-ladren, Clifford III, Margaret, Susan, Paul, Carl and Janice for Thanksgiving dinner and over the weekend. Miss Margaret is attending college in Oakland, Calif., and returned Monday; Susan is enrolled at Ricks College, St. Anthony, Idaho, and returned there Sunday. The group attended a Grant family reunion Friday, Nov. 24, at Parleys Fifth Ward, honoring the birthday anniversary of the late President Heber J. Grant. Mr. and Mrs. Farnsworth and son, Jeff, visited with Mr. Farnsworths mother, Mrs. Kathleen Farnsworth, and a brother and Mr. and Mrs. William E. Wheaton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor W. Wheat- on, 4843 N. Coquille Ave., Hunter, has completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Tex. He has been assigned to the Air Force Technical Training Center at Lowry AFB, Colo., for specialized schooling as a supply specialist. Airman Wheaton is a 1967 graduate of Cyprus High School in Magna. RUCKER IN JANUARY Mr. William J. Robertson Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Robertson of Hunter, has grad- uated from Helicopter Flight School at Fort Wolters, Tex., and will leave the first part of January to report to Fort Rucker, Ala. Mrs. Forest Miller left Saturday for Delta, Utah, to visit her mother, Mrs. Suzy Sampson, and brought her back to Hunter to spend the winter with Mrs. Miller and family and another daughter. Hunter Notes MUSIC LOVER Is Mrs. Portia Boggess, the former Portia Stevens, who Instructs first grade students at Whittier Elementary School in Hunter. Doug Ward, former member cently her changing 4-- H she will continue her career of teaching. graduate of Snow College and Utah State, Mrs. Boggess earned her bachelors degree in education because shes always loved small children and had the desire to teach since she was a young girl. She's followed a trend in her family, for four out of five are teachers. The new Mrs. Boggess was an active college student. She was student body secretary, student Senate member, listed in Whos Who in American colleges and universities and was the recipient of the U.S.U. Leadership NEW BABY SON Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Wardle are happy over the arrival of a baby boy Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Marks Hospital. He weighed 7V2 married, last name to Boggess. Phil Rees was in charge of the program and engaged the Rawhide Singers from the University of Utah to provide the entertainment. The Relief Society was in charge of the dinner and the Primary decorated the tables around a holiday theme. Each organization was given a work assignment. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Wilkin and Mr. and Mrs. Mont Nelson enjoyed a trip to Manti Wednesday. The two couples enjoyed dinner and visiting, following a custom of getting together during the holidays for a short trip and dinner.
