Her bridegroom, a former student of Utah State University, fulfilled an LDS mission to Sweden. Entertaining at prenuptial parties were Mrs. Leonard Pinder, Mrs. Aaron Robison, Mrs. Larry Reid, Mrs. William Johns and Mrs. Roy Jensen. FIFTH CHILD Jerry Redmond announce the birth of their fifth on child, a sweet lil daughter, 28th. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces and is being greeted by two sisters and two brothers at home. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Redmond and Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Kelson of Magna. June Mr. and Mrs. Don Willard are happy over the arrival of a baby girl. Mr. and Mrs. Willard now have three daughters and one son. TWIN GIRLS Jr. are happy over the arrival of twin girls born on their second wedding anniversary Sunday, July 15th. One weighed seven pounds and the other 5 pounds, 12 ounces. The mother is the former Gail Bendall, sister of Mrs. Stanley Anderson. Cas-tlegat- e, Named On Honor List (Special to the Magna Times) UNIVERSITY PARK, N. M. Letitia Hubbard of Magna is among 108 students at New Mexico State University to be named to the Dean's Honor List in the College of Arts and Sciences for the spring semester 1962. Miss Hubbard is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hubbard of 8430 West 3370 South Street. During NMSUs June commencement she was awarded a bachelor of science degree, majoring in physical education. Mrs. Joseph Woolley entertained members of her Sewing Club Friday evening at her home. Refreshments were served and a .social time enjoyed by the group who will meet July 27th at the home of Mrs. Ray Cromar in Salt Lake City. LOVELY BRIDE Is new Mrs. M. Phil Rasmussen, the former Lois Donna Carter. Nuptial vows were recited at the Lakeridge Ward Chapel on the evening of June 29th. A reception followed for relatives and friends. Lovely Miss Lois Donna Carter became the bride of M. Phil Rasmussen at the Lake Ridge Ward Chapel on the evening of June 29th, the ceremony being performed by Bishop Jimmie Hales. Beautiful Gown For her wedding the bride chose a gown of sheer nylon underscored with taffeta. It was styled with short sleeves, scalloped neckline and a bouffant skirt. The gown was detailed with sequin trimmed lace appliques at the neckline and scattered over the floor length skirt. Her veil of illusion fell from a flower trimmed nylon bridal coronet. She carried a bouquet fashioned of pink roses and centered with a white orchid. Attendants Given Attending the bride were Mrs. Delora Christensen, Mrs. Kristine Elder, Miss Susan Ekblad, Misses Jackie and Terry Cross. Flower girls were little Colleen Cross and Susan Rasmussen. The attendants wore pink brocade with overskirts of silk organza and carried bouquets of white carnations and pink roses. Edgel Rasmussen served as best man for the groom and ushers were Michael Peterson, Val McQuivey, Jack York and Bill Powell. Following, the newlyweds were feted at a wedding breakfast at the Utah State University Union Building. Hostess was Mrs. Elsie R. Olson, Trenton, mother of the bridegroom. He is also a son of the late C. Oscar Olson. Friday evening the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Metcalf, Magna, were hosts at a reception. Setting for the postnuptial event was the Pleasant Green Ward in Magna. An open house was held Saturday evening at the Trenton Ward meetinghouse. Lovely Gown For the postnuptial festivities, new Mrs. Olson selected a gown of nylon organza with Italian lace flower trim on the bodice. Her veil of illusion was caught to a crown of mock blossoms and she carried a bouquet of lily of the valley, encircling a white orchid. In lavender dresses and carrying pink roses and lily of the valley were Mrs. Wayne Cranfill, matron of honor; Miss DseAnne Broadhead, Miss Sheila Borich and Miss Carolyn Miller, bridesmaids. This camp was for twirlers all over the nation and again Miss Pam ranked very high. She takes a weekly Saturday lesson from Brenda Darling, Brigham Young University t wirier at Provo and is now making plans to enter the National Open at Sun Valley in August. She practices a great deal although her mother regretfully laughs .that ,her baton practicing is taken over by piano lessons.
