Show 0 B 13 Z T arru A R ST died at payson november 7 6 sarah abbott daughter of thomas anu and amy ward hancock born in new york state june 18 1805 deceased was married to thomas crandall Crand als in 1822 in the state of ohio she and her husband burbana were baptized in october 1830 about six months after the organization of the church they removed to jackson county mo and were driven from there to far west suffering buttering in all the perse cautions cut ions her Buffe rings robbed her of health but not of her faith which never weakened for a moment lt luring her natural life she passed away without a struggle she had but one child living a son who with his bis wife and some of the neighbors wit her dissolution she was a widow many years then was married to rufus abbott who departed this life a few years ago she was a kind mother and faithful fr friend end and lived a spotless life which e h entitles her to a crown of glory and eternal t ernal life W H shirley died of pneumonia at fish haven Se 28 ima he leaves a wife and three children and a host ot of relatives and friends to mourn his loss deceased was born bom at portsea Port Por aea hampshire england jan 19 1829 baptized into info the church of jesus eitts christ of latter j day saints april 1855 emigrated to utah in suffel suf feung ing many odthe hardships which the saints endured in those days ordained an elder february he became a member of the haven ward june 1879 where he labored diligently and faithfully tor for the advancement van cement of truth and the good of the young and rising generation he was bupt supt of sunday school and took great interest in his labors therein his sterling qualities cheerful and obliging disposition gained tor for hon hum the universal love and esteem of all with whom be associated lie ite was nevea neve known to shrink from any duty and was one of the lore foremost most in all good works he died as be had lived a faithful latter day saint funeral services were held in the new meeting house fish haven sept 29 and was attended by nearly all the members of the ward and sunday school and many from other settlements consoling and instructive remarks were made president budge the remains were followed to the cemetery by br a large gon concourse course of mourners and friends of com died at american fork november lath it 1886 after suffering two years from diseases ali wife of william wilham greenwood her demise demise was somewhat sudden and unexpected d deceased was born may ath 1823 in clayton lancashire eagland Eh gland and emigrated to Nauvoo with her fathers famil family in 1843 1842 she passed through the bitter trials trials and persecutions to which the saints were subjected in illinois she was compelled to lice ilee from nauvoo in the early arly spring of 1846 with three small children she arrived in salt lake valley september 1847 with toe the company following the pioneers remaining four years in salt lake city which she assisted in founding she removed to american fork with which ner name lia ha been intimately and affectionately as socia ted from its foundation up to the present time she tooka prominent part in the ladies relief belief society and other institutions of beno benevolence during the hardship of the early settlement ot utah sister greenwood reared a family of fourteen children twelve of whom she lived to see bee lionor honorably ably mor married ried two having died unmarried the result of these unions was 46 grandchildren she died as she had lived a faithful latter day saint and in a full ollove chope of a glorious resurrection with the just the funeral was held on the dinst in the american fork meeting house to which her remains were earned carried by the seven surviving sons and five sons inlaw in law regardless of the ver very y disagreeable disagreed ble weather the services were liberally attended icom COM |
