| Show S S missionaries SALT LAKE CITY july 26 1894 continuing our report as aa published in the NEWS of yesterday day elders reynolds and griggs on arrival at panguitch again became the gleeta of stake sunday school superintendent B R 0 dark clark and wife on saturday july 10 ama goodly congregation assembled aisem bled in the meeting house of that place and the roll call of sunday school representatives showed a very gratifying number present prea ent some iome from a distance dla tance of about 70 miles reports olaes class exorcism and remarks by the sunday school union board representatives representative president Pre aident M M steele and others othera characterized the conference meetings of the first day which were followed by one with the stake authorities and teachers tea ohen questions Ques tlona and answers pertinent to sunday bunday school work were presented our dally daily rain fell refreshingly fre in IB the evening we were highly en pertained by the oral recital by brother john H clark a deaf 14 year old son aon of our host boat and hostess who related the contents of a book he had bad been reading conference continued on sanday completing reports from the following schools oh circleville dr Cir cleville hen neville Re calante georgetown marion and tropic remarks were also alao made by president Preal dent of the stake J W crosby elders reynolds Bey nolda griggs and others the exercises ex eroe by the primary department of the sunday school chool under the direction of their un uc tiring and interested teachers were praiseworthy aleo those of others othere who took part in various exercises the assurance of more frequent visits from the stake will undoubtedly result in increased efficiency of the sunday schools th throughout hout this stake of zion elder owen conducted the musical features of the entire conference with ability and taste and was well supported by voice and the organ accompaniment pani ment eDt of sister maggid davis bro 0 reynolds held hela a meeting with the seventies and trahe transacted acted some necessary business connected with that quorum of priesthood courtesies or hospitality were also shown us by brother W P sargent Brother Walker and president J W crosby panguitch and surrounding country as to is their heir wont were on the move to panguitch lake to spend the 1 pioneer day on monday brother K R garmy dark clark conveyed us safely by buggy over some roads of a beam end incline to beavers beaver forty miles where refreshments were kindly provided us by sister sarah Wool lenden we learn the beaver woolen mills are turning out some excellent fabrics and exchanging the same for wool at quite a liberal figure parting with brother dark clark we engaged a conveyance and at p m are on the road again for mil ford 82 32 miles distant star talk and song were employed to keep our tired eyes from sJ slumber umber but lif in spite of ourselves selves our conveyance was buck board slid add lodgings milford wail wa reached by am if of july and some plump sacks ot of wood on the rail road platform became for four hours the feather beds of the sunday school missionaries the railroad run of some twelve hours from milford to salt bait lake city was enlivened by a glance at the pro winding its way from deseret to oasis to celebrate the anniversary ann lver of the entrance of president brigham young and the pioneers into the vales of deseret more particularly 8 salt aide it lake valley we greatly acknowledge the sup support A of our heavenly father and no hia is providence in this extended trip of some ome miles mile of travel occupying nineteen days day time during which we wa held twenty four meetings meeting exclusive of several everal very pJ pleasing easing social gatherings gatherl nga and interviews we have experienced uniform kindness and cordiality thai miles milea we have traveled by private con meyance only represent about one half the distance traveled by aur ur much appreciated teamsters who had to come coma and go cordially GEORGE T C |
