Trujillo said six clubs are participating in the Spook Alley: Chi Phi, the Black Student Team, the Union, the Mens Volleyball Newman Club and the SUJL'SA Freshman Board "The clubs are pretty stoked about it, Shupe said, "Theres a lot of work going into it Spook Alley will run Irom 9 pm. to midnight at The Howl, in the Cedar Breaks Room, south of the Rotunda. Tickets for The Howl can be purchased at the Centrum box office in advance until Friday at 5p m for S10, two for $15. However, after 5p m. Friday the cost is $15 for SUU students and $20 for students. Before The Howl begins on Friday, the Latter-da- y Saint Student Association invites students to participate in its third annual Trunk or Treat activity. LDSSA Executive President Paul Arnold said the event will have music, donuts, hot chocolate, candy and fires inside barrels. Arnold said everyone is invited. The more the merrier, he said. As long as its a good blend, wed rather have it more student heavy than faculty heavy because its a student process and we want it to be a student experience with faculty guidance, she said. Students w'ho qualify for a position on the committee are students who are in good university standing and are conscientious, like to think through things and are willing to work as part of a team, Nielsen said. The positions are not paid but provide good volunteer experience to put on a resume, she said. (This experience) is definitely something you can learn from and can take with you into the workforce wherever you end up, Nielsen said. There have been two cases in the last year where students have had to come before the panel, however Nielsen w'ould not comment on the cases to protect the privacy of the students. The committee w'ould hear student cases and determine if the student is responsible for what he or she was accused of and if the accusations were true, sanctions appropriate would then be determined, she said A student who violates the code of conduct and actions that may have a negative impact on the campus community, the committee will be called to take care of it, she said Thats what this is all about protecting the SUU community as a whole In addition to punishment, the committee will require an educational sanction to take place also so students learn from can their behavioral mistakes Writing an essay, giving a speech, volunteering community service on campus or volunteering hours with public safety are a few (if the possible educational sanctions students may be required to do We want to make it an educational experience so that students can learn from their consequences and become better citizens. she said.
