Show SUSC THE THUNDERBIRD On Campus The SUSC division of continuing education WOMENS CLOTHING is sponsoring a community quilting bee today through April 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Braithwaite 204. Quilters with some experience are invited to work on a queen-siz- e coverlet pieced by staff member Martha Minnick. Minnick pieced a similar quilt last spring as her contribution efforts to remodel and refurbish SUSCs College to Cabin. The project was so successful that Phillip C. Carter, the director of continuing education, suggested that it become a springtime tradition. A drawing for the quilt is planned July 24 at the Homesteader Day celebration at the College Cabin. Minnick is piecing another log cabin quilt, her specialty, this year in rose fabric with blue and beige accents. Volunteers are invited to drop by the Braithwaite Center and quilt as long as theyd like, Minnick said. They should bring their own thimbles and scissors. Well provide lunch the final day.
