The run is to promote the Utah Students Association campaign against drugs, said Gary Ziegler, head of the Run Against Drugs committee. We want to build the image that Utah students care and that we are serious about attacking the drug problem, he said. The run will also be sponsored in two other Utah sights. BYU, Snow College, Utah Valley Community College, Weber State and USU have the area between Logan and Ogden. Students from Westminster College, Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah are scheduled to run from Bountiful to Ephraim. The campaign is run only part of National Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 22 through 29. Students can pick up a red ribbon to wear in support of the week in the Student Government Offices. The campaign was initiated by Nancy Reagan and President George Bush. Although many states are participating in the run, Utahs program is one of the most aggressive.
