SUSCs top golfer, Todd Mills, has left the team for personal reasons, and Wade Olsen will serve an LDS mission. The young players are under the gun, said Kingsford. They have to accept the challenge to make up the difference, he said. Kingsford believes there is potential in the younger golfers, but added they must improve quickly because they are not Division I competitors yet. Will Healy, who recently injured his golfing hand, will be counted on for leadership and productivity. The timeliness of his recovery will be a key for the Birds this spring. Kingsford is also trying out several new golfers who are hoping to make the team. 1989 THUNDERBIRD DATE March April April 15 j 27-2- 8 1 r s GOLF SCHEDULE OPPONENT Boise State Grand Canyon Invitational Utah State LOCATION Boise, ID Phoenix, AZ Logan, UT i 1989 THUNDERBIRD w i- u i Pitcher Genie Turley, a junior from Mesa, Arig., is a newcomer GOLF ROSTER r I to the squad. 4 A0 i t 1989 LADY BIRD SOFTBALL SCHEDULE ) March 3-- 5 March 21 5 March 23-2- I i April 6 April 7 April 8 April 16 April 18 9 April May May May UNLV Tournament (Southwest Texas, UNLV, Penn State) Colorado School of Mines Colorado State Tournament (Adams St., Colorado St., Mesa, Metro St.) Nevada Las Vegas Utah State Utah Alumni BYU 2 Utah Tournament (Utah, Reno, CSU, USU) Utah State Utah 5 BYU 27-2- 1 G v fV Las Vegas, NV Denver, CO Fort Collins, Cedar City, Cedar City, Cedar City, Cedar City, Provo, UT CO UT UT UT UT Salt Lake City, UT Logan, UT Salt Lake City, UT Cedar City, UT M - -t- y J fcA K -- f 'r.
