The annual event recruits new members to organizations by displaying information at their club booths. ASSUSC's Clubs and Organizations Coordinator Tami Compagno said the booths "will be in or around the Student Center." Compagno said the clubs will be represented with banners or signs, sample of activities and handouts. SUSC has 33 clubs which represent many interests of the students. The Agriculture Club creates enthusiasm for the college's agriculture program. Their activities usually include dinners at the College Cabin and yearly agriculture trips. Alpha Chi is the National Honor Society, according to Compagno. Members must have a high GPA (depending on major) and are selected for this club. Ambassadors Club members help with college functions as ushers and hosts at dinners, concerts, campus tours and Convocations. The Black Student Union is a service organization that promotes an understanding of black cultural issues. Chess and Draughts Club is a competitive organization. Challenge serves disabled people through social activities. Members are both disabled and Circle K is another service organization which serves the community and campus with such activities as visits to the nursing home in Cedar City. College Democrats and College Republicans will be in full swing with this year's national and state elections. Education Club is associated with the National Education Association and helps students get better acquainted to educators around the area. International Club represents students from around the world with an opportunity to get acquainted with others through activities. Intertribal Club strives to make Native American students feel comfortable in a college setting while maintaining their cultural beliefs and enhancing their scholastic abilities. journalists' Guild serves the journalism field and allows those interested in newspapers, magazines, radio and television the opportunity to interact and to grow. Lambda Delta Sigma is the LDS sorority. Membership is open to any single woman, but they ask that they have LDS standards, said Compagno. social organization through the LDSSA is another church-base- d Institute of Religion. Lite Science Association includes science majors and others with the life science interest. Literary Guild helps publish the Tailwind and other literary works. organization which hosts the Masque Club is the theatre-base- d awards banquet for the theatre and dance students and the annual Spook Alley. PBL is the business organization which competes for national awards. Radio Club includes those who work at the college radio station, KGSU. Resident Hall Association unites college dorm residents and advisers in activities. Rodeo Team is a competitive organization. ROTC is the military organization that teaches students leadership. Sigma Gamma Chi is the LDS fraternity. Sigma Nu is a nationally affiliated fraternity and promotes scholorship and school spirit. Soccer Club is a competitive organization. SUSC SCUBA Club teaches members scuba diving and offers the opportunity to be certified in the skill. The Tennis Association is a competitive organization. Television Club produces channel 9 programming. VICA represents vocational skills on campus. Waukeenyans is the dance group which performs at the football and basketball games to promote school spirit. The SUSC clubs compete for the title of Organization of the Year and cash awards thoughout the year. "In the past, the competition has been judged by a point system, however, we t are changing the system this year," said Compagno.
