Show THE THUNDERBIRD B-ba- racquetball top intramural slate ll, BY DALE CUMMINGS these games included Paul in After taking a week off to let everyone get back into the swing of things, the intramurals started up again this week with basketball leading the way. Twenty-on- e men's teams and six women's teams are entered in the competition. The women have had a week of practice games and will start actual play Tuesday. Due to the large number of men's teams, they have been split into two divisions, and began action last week without the benefit of any practice games. In Division A, the "Punkin Rollers" and "Boyd Lamb" were both victorious in their contests. In Division B, the "Gunners" and "Spank Me" each garnered victories. Some outstanding performances Robinson of the "Punkin Rollers" with 22, Darrin Gardner of the "Boyd Lamb" team canning 23, R. Reid of the "Spank Me" squad scoring 21, and Neil Gunnell of the "Gunners" scoring 27 for the week's best performance. Tom Kingsford, who directs the intramural program, has announced that racquetball will begin Wednesday. Three segments of competition are planned, with divisions in men's, women's, men's doubles, women's Students may enter anytime doubles, and co-efrom now until Wednesday. An organizational meeting and completion of entries will take place at the racquetball courts Wednesday at 5 p.m. d. The course will tram people how to teach skiing to both adults and children up to C levels. Also, we will work on improving your personal skiing whatever your level of ability. After completion of the course, we will select some of the trainees for ski instructing positions and the resort (part time and full time). The clinician is Wayne Diamond, full certified instructor, who has trained instructors for several seasons and has taught advanced skiing courses. The cost is $50 including lift tickets.
