Show The Thuiuierbinf Monday Apr if 7 1VKS6" ; Page IT Water babies are coming Babies take to water like little fish, and theyll get the change spring quarter at SUSC. class Water The Awareness for Babies starts Tuesday, repeated again this quarter under the direction of certified water safety instructor Kay Baker. Class will continue non-cred- it Kay Baker will teach a class on water safety for children through DCE. Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 29, taught from 3 to 4 p.m. at the SUSC pool. Swimmers 3 months through 3 years are welcome, Baker says. Mothers or fathers are required to be in the pool with their child, she says, adding that the swim class is a one-to-on- e experience between the child and his or her parent. Youngsters are guided through a series of skills from looking at an object underwater to jumping off the side of the pool with additional techniques added once these are masteied. Early instruction not only teaches children the lifelong joy of sw'imming but also helps them develop important motor coordination, she said, adding that the class can be repeated several times. Registration, $25, can be completed at the first session or before then in Old Administration 203, offices of the Division of Continuing Education. Additional information is available by contacting Baker at 586-714- FREE Thunderbird Classified Ads may be submitted to The Thunderbird House, 529 West 200 South (across from Juniper Hall.)
