Show 2DASSUSC UPDATE Clubs are keeping busy This past quarter has been busy for Clubs and Organizations. They started off with a bang. The Homecoming Parade was a big success because of time and effort put into each float by the different clubs. Sweepstakes and cava cade awards went to VICA and the Ambassador Club. First place went to the Masque Club. Homecoming also consisted club competitions of pyramid building and club cheers which was won by the Ambassadors and the Masque Club. There has been a contest between clubs and organizations this year for the spirit banner being presented to the group that showed the most spirit at the games. Winners of this prestigious award have been given to Executive Council, Gymnastics Team, Spirit Club, Pep Band and VICA. The Fall Festival was cosponsored with LDSSA and ASSUSC Clubs that participated were able to raise money for their club or organization and also provided a super activity for the students at SUSC. To name a few of the booths that were entered in the Fall Festival were a Bucking machine from Rodeo Club, The Rat Race by the Ambassador Club, B B gun shot from VICA, sponge throw from PBL, pie selling by Black Student Union, Black Jack and Poker by the Ag Club all the booths were decorated to the theme of Under the Big Top. There are currently 46 clubs and organizations. With this variety students should be able to find a club which suits thier interests. The Club Presidents will continue to meet on a bases with Jean Wiser, the Clubs and Organizations Director, to plan this quarters activities. WinterWonderland Week appears to be the highlight of the quarter. There will be a snow sculpture contest, a student talent night, a dance and a tubing party. These events will all take place on Feb.11-15- . Another fun activity will be the Game Show Night on March 1st. We look at this new year and quarter with great excitement and enthusiasm. Contact Testing Center for registration information. The best game to play is back, so dont miss it this Quarter. Mandatory meeting on Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. in the student lounge. There is a 50 cent charge to play, but dart guns will be supplied. Come to the meeting prepared to take portfolio pictures and receive vital information.
