Show The Thunderbird Monday October 28, 1985 Walker crowned queen BY JANET CRAWFORD Number 8 seemed to be a very popular number with the judges Wednesday night at the Miss SUSC Pageant. Stephanie Walker, a junior from Pleasant Grove, Utah, made a clean sweep, not only taking the crown but also winning the interview, swimsuit and evening gown competitions. She is majoring in dance and performed a modern si isc Theatre -P- interpretative dance entitled Italian Fantasy. She is one of SUSCs cheerleaders and was sponsored by the cheerleading squad. Last summer she was the entertainment director on a cruise ship, the S.S. Azure Seas. Walker tries to get the most out of life, but attributes much of her success to luck. Ive been in the right place at the right time, she said. Other members of the royalty include: first runner-up- , Jerilyn Leavitt who is a 21 year-old senior from Duchesne, Utah, majoring in music; and second runner-u- p Jayceen Craven, a senior from Price, Utah, majoring m theatre arts. Craven also won the award for Miss Congeniality. &.
