Coming up Awards to be given Outstanding Southern Utah State College students will be honored for their academic achievements May 23 at the Academic Awards Convocation scheduled at 11 a.m. in the college auditorium. Four students will be honored for academic scholarship in their respective schools. The award recipients are Michael Leon Chidester for the school of arts and letters, Stephen Paul Radmall for the school of business, technology, and communication, Leanne Bradshaw Hahne for the school of education, and Brian Garry Graf for the school of science. Chidester will represent SUSC as the 1985 Valedictorian in June 1 commencement ceremonies. The public is invited to the awards convocation. Slide show planned ASSUSC and Southern Utah Association of Political Scientists will sponsor A Trip Behind the Iron Curtain slide show and lecture by Jim Cotts, associate professor of math. The slide show will be given at 7 p.m. at the Special Collections Room in the Library. All interested persons are welcome. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Film preview slated A free preview of the documentary Thirty Years to Justice will be presented Monday at Southern Utah State College. The hour-lon- g documentary will start 8 p.m. in Old Administration 204film - Closing social set Southern Utah State College students in industrial education classes o: VICA are encouraged to attend a closing social at Three Peaks on Tuesday, May 21, sponsored by the industrial education department and the VICA club. Industrial education students and their spouses may attend, however, no children are allowed. The price of admission, $1, covers the cost of the meal, which features Dutch oven chicken cooked by the instructors, as well as games and activities. |
