The first workshop will deal with assertiveness training and the other with stress management. Both are taught by counselors Bessie Dover and Gary Dunford. The assertiveness workshop will be held Friday, Jan. 11, in Administration 102 from 1 to 5 p.m. The stress management will be held Friday, Feb. 8, also in Ad. 102 from to 5 p.m. Anyone interested in the workshops may register at the time of the workshop or with the Division of Continuing Education in Old Administration 203. The cost for the workshops is $10. 1 Building code taught A Uniform Building Code workshop will begin Jan. 8 at SUSC and will cominue for 14 sessions through spring quarter. The workshop will give participants a better understanding of the UBC and its application to building construction. At the end of the course, participants may take the ICBO examination to become a certified building inspector. There is a $100 fee for the workshop. The fee covers the cost of handouts and supplementary materials and the ICBO exam. College students may earn three elective credits by adding the class through the registrars office. Others interested in the workshop may sign up at the first class session in Industrial Education 113 or with the SUSC Division of Continuing Education any weekday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Old Administration 203. Save money on meals A free class, Quick Fixes for Quick Mixes, will begin Jan. 10 at non-cred- it SUSC to teach participants how to plan and prepare time saving and money saving meals. The class will be taught Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Science Center 210. Participants can register with the SUSC Division of Continuing Education any weekday from 9 a.m. to 203 or 3 p.m. in Old Administration class first session. the at sign up |
