| Show JOHN jolin PENMAN ARRESTED FROM THE DEPUTIES deputies collin and sprague Sp raue about six this borni morning called at john Pen rent rians mans house in bountiful with a warrant for III ili his 9 arrest I 1 mr penman was just returning from watering wate his farm which he had been engaged at during duning the night mrs penman and several of her children and mrs jane burningham were subpoenaed to attend as witnesses the complaint alleges that t the lre defendant has between august 1882 and july 1 cohabited with more than one woman as his bis wives namely elizabeth penman and mary penman contrary to law the witnesses came to this city and were on hand at the commissioners office the officers started down with their prisoner who was in disown wagon when they arrived at the hot springs mr penman made some excuse to get out of the wagon and went around behind a house there the deputies waited some little time tune but 1 mr penman did not make his appearance so PO they went after him hlin buu but were ivere unable to find their prisoner after a fruitless search they came on to this city and up to the present no tidings have been obtained of the missing man |
