Show eno the death ot alma larding WILLARD box elder county april 3 ird 1884 editor deseret netos among the many trials incidental to missionary missionary life not the least is the e exposure re W which h i ch one is subjected to often posit re resulting su i n in n a lifetime affliction or in mature eath death which however but seldom occurs but such was the case with the late alma harding of willard cit city box elder county he lie was born in chariton charlton harlton county count mo june 29 M of dwight rhe phe rhebe phebe e harding and he was reared in the midst of eions ile he grew to manhood and was noted for his robust c constitution vigorous health and great strength at the semiannual semi annual conference october 1881 he was called on a mission to the southern states to which field of labor he promptly repaired after la laboring borino for about six months in arkansas he was removed to texas I 1 where ho he not only endured pers pens persecutions e cut lons logs such as are the common lot of missionaries mission arless ariess but his health and strength were greatly reduced by chills fever and kindred diseases still he labored uncomplainingly until released and on the of october 1883 reached home a wreck of his former self all that loving hearts licarte and willing hands could do was done for him but on the of february 1884 lie he succumbed to the malady preying prey ing upon his system lie he bore his sickness with remarkable fortitude and showed throughout a firm reliance upon god and a perfect submission to ills his will ills his departure is keenly felt and his absence mourned by his family relatives and numerous friends at whose desire this miswritten is written respects respectfully ully JAS J CHANDLER |
