Area Briefs m City Will Sell Bonds For 811.5 Million Xy & a- 4-PL- -- 1ST QUALITY cmD3 Salt Lake City will sell another 11 and one-hal-f million dollars worth of general obligation bonds for capital Improvements on May 15. SALE OF THE BONDS WAS authorized Wednesday by the City Commission because of the favorable bond market The new sale will bnng the total bonds sold to 19 million dollars for the citys capital improvements program approved by the voters. Seven and a half million dollars worth of bonds were sold recently to Halsey, Stuart and Co., a Chicago bond firm, hunat an approximate interest rate of two and eighty-twdredths per cent The commission directed Jennipgs Phillips Jr., capital improvements coordinator, to issue a prospectus announcing the sale. - Y M o Guilty of Fighting H.
