Schmertz exchanged wedding vows Friday evening at Skaggs Memorial Chapel, First Baptist Chu; ch. An uncle of the bride, Gordon Burt Affleck, an LDS High Priest, officiated . sX the double xing rites..,. The new Mrs. Schmertz Is a daughter of Mrs. Fred W. Clausen, 1577 Wasatch Dr., and John B. Affleck, Phoenix, Ariz. The bridegroom is a son y M. Schmertzr of 1032 E. 3rd South and the late Mr. Schmertz. Honored At Reception A reception afterward, honored the couple in the church parlor. They greeted guests in front of a mirror graced with smilax and wedding bells cascading to electrified candelabras with nosegays of white gladioli and stock. The bride wore an original full length gown of peau de soie. The fitted bodice featured a wide scooped neck- line, trimmed with Chantilly lace, pearls and crystals. The lace sleeves extended to points at the wrists. A panel of the jeweled lace centered the bouffant skirt with the lace motif repeated on the hem of the skirt that swept into a chapel train. Crown of Pearls A hand made Queens H. Sehnitirta crown of tiny seed pearls held her bouffant shoulder length veil of illusion and she carried a crescent-shape- d bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and French stock.
