Watkins during funeral services held in the Sharon Stake Chapel. Speakers were Elder Ezra Taft Benson of the Council of the Twelve and Henry D. Taylor, assistant to the Council of the Twelve, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. y Also speaking was Bishop Lorin Eldredge and former Bishop George E. Mangen of the Salt Lake 21st Ward, Emigration Stake, where Watkins lived for the past seven years. Sen. Wallace F. Bennett, attended the services, along with Gov. Calvin L. Ramp-to- n and Federal Judges A. Sherman Christensen, David Wilson and David Lewis. Elder Taylor said Watkins . Hfe was devoted to doing good for his fellow man In addition to his government service, he was known for his work in central Utah in the church welfare program and for his decsions as a judge in Utahs Fourth Judicial District, Elder Taylor said. Tax collections keep Utah outlook bright The states financial picture continues to be bright.
