Show 1 0C DESERET NEWS, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15, 1975 ! special cultural evening for BYU alumni is being given two performances this week off fee BYU campus in A Provo. Contemporary 401-12- Th" Festival of Fine Arts is being presented by fee BYU College of Fine Arts and Communications under the direction of Lael J. Woodbury, dean of the college. The first performance will is? given at the Bonneville High Auditorium Thursday (16), and the second at the Highland High Auditorium in Salt Lake City Friday (17). Both performances begin at 8 p.ra. The program introduction will be given by Dr. Dallin H. Oaks, president of BYU. The program will feature drama with some excerpts from Mark Twain's "Hie Apple Tree. Robert Downs will be the tenor soloist in several arias from Mussorgskys opera, Boris Godunov, wife Dr. Ralph Uayeock conducting the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra. Garland Dennett, winnes of the 1974 Hebor J. Grant Oratorical Contest. His winning address is titled: Old Man Winter.
