As the annual Pemiy Parade progresses, the "plunk changes. It becomes a happy rattle as more pennies, nickles and dimes ae dropped into the makeshift bank. This .... As in the past, hospital services will be provided without regard to religion, race or national origin, Enthusiasm and creativity during the Penny Parade has. for many years, remained at a high level. The parade is a focal point of interest for Primaries throughout the Church. It gives children a chance to, do what they do best express their love for ethers. One ward, for example, has been using the changing seasons and months to add interest to the parade. In October, a tree on a poster gained leaves as donations were made to the parade. Feathers were pasted onto a , picture of a turkey in November and stars were added to a Christmas tree in December. Children are becoming more aware of the importance of getting well as they mannikin which help "cure a child-sizhas been bandaged by Primary leaders in another ward. Each time a child donates to the parade, he gets to remove a bandage. By the time the parade ends, all bandages will have been removed from the mannikin. Wrapping the ward meetinghouse in paper chains is a stimulating project for the children in another ward. Each link in the chain represents one penny. As contributions pour in, the chain becomes longer. It winds down the hallways and encircles the cultural hall and classrooms. The Penny Parade is conducted in wards and branches of the Church in the United States and Canada.
