Mendenhall as chair man, has rendered in directing the work of these schools in the Pacific for the past several years. m kXM0 Public Gym In Ogden The old Weber Academy Gymnasium which has been turned back to the Church by Weber College, Ogden, Utah, will be operated by the Church as a public gymnasium like the Deseret Gym- nasium in Salt Lake City. This announcement was made this week by Bishop Robert L. Simpson of the Presiding Bishopric who win; acfas chairman of the Weber Gymnasium Board, Vice chair-ma- h will be Pres.-Albe- rt LBott of Mount Ogden Stake. The building will be refurbished for the formal opening next spring. - Chapels Dedicated Two new ward meetinghouses have been dedicated recently. Elder John Longden, Assistant to the Council of the Twelve, gave dedicatory prayer in the Boulder Ward chapel, Garfield Stake, Utah, on Oct. 25. Bishop Robert L. Simpson of the Presiding; Bishopric dedicated the Grand Rapids Ward meetinghouse. Lapsing Staked Mich., on Nov. 6. $ To Inspect Pacific Schools An inspection tour of the Church schools In the Pacific area will start next week for Elder Delbert L. Stapley of the Council of the Twelve. He will be accompanied by Dr. Harvey L. Taylor, acting chancellor of the Unified Church School System and Dr. Owen Cook, acting president of the Church College of Hawaii. They will visit Hawaii, Tonga, Tahiti, Samoa and New Zealand.
