Show dTuaem LiTe iro rage o ivionaay MugusT z Members accepted Three members' of the' USU Chorale have been selected as members of the National Bicentennial Chorus of the American Choral Directors Association Selected were Rebecca Reid North Logan Jerry Vander Does Twin Falls Idaho and Steven Griffith Ogden 0 The three will sing with the chorus representing all the states at the National Music Camp Interlochen Mich the week of July 19 200-voi- ce Choral directors and conductors from around the world will gather for the camp interviews for SEJtiimsr School Sfedoofs MAGGI MOARS enjoys the hectic schedule of teaching dance moving to Cache Valley from New York she has undertaken since Dance West includes Maggi Maggie Moar’s New York friends were afraid she might become completely domesticated even to weaving the cloth for her husband’s suit when she moved to Cache Valley professional dancer choreographer and dance teacher Ms Moar has a long list of credits including choreographing 11 ballets and 12 musicals and dancing roles in about 70 musicals She moved to Logan last September when her husband Bill Sapp became the new manager of the Chase Fine Arts Center at Utah State University “Fortunately my friends were wrong I was able to get involved in teaching dance through the Conference and Institute Division’s programs sponsored by the university and with the Dance West program this summer” A Ms Moar said She said she has especially enjoyed working with the beginning Dance West students--sh- e had all 47 of their names memorized within a week She said memorizing names 10 years came pretty easy-aft- er of doing it with each new class she taught The students seemed to appreciate the individual attention she tries to give each of them because on a critique they turned in recently a number of the students said as much One student also wrote--“a- t last a teacher with a sense of humor” Other comments in- cluded “I didn’t know ballet took so much concentration and you’re supposed to look relaxed” The dancer received her bachelor’s degree in ballet and her from master’s in ballet-theatr- e Texas Christian University She was the lead dancer in 64 musicals for Casa Manana Summer Musicals in Ft Worth and a guest soloist with the Ft Worth Ballet Association In New York she studied with well know dance teachers performed at the New York Worlds Fair and taught In addition she was assistant director of the Lansing Ballet Association and director of the Lansing Children’s Ballet in Michigan choreographer for the Texas Boys Choir and USI Clubs ballet professor at TCU and instructor and lecturer at Michigan State University She admits to liking the hectic schedule she’s kept over the years and was thrilled to be d ahead again in working Cache Valley full-spee- Many good jobs will be coming available at Zions Bryce and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to students returning to school Some jobs are available now and others will be available after August 15 and will last until school starts in the Fall An interviewer will be c the Placement Center on campusWednesday August 4 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon Make appointments in advance UC 31 1 SyiRIMEU J© at Flaming Gorge Prefer married couple wo children or pets for sales and service Trailer provided Contact Bob Witherspoon (307) or USU Placement Office 7461 784-348- 9 Yes It's True!
