shail be construed as recognizing izing or de denying the tile authority of the thle legislature of ilie rile the territory of utah to create railroad corporations in other words that is to be left an open question to be settled by the tiie united states or force of arms it I 1 is said that it was wms while this tills bill was pending its second reading that gen negley negle yand sand and mr clagett had llad their fai fat famous lious ilous interview with tile the president den deu it in which tile they conati constrained aill alii tile tilo president to admit that the tile m ease case w had already graded tills this very route under tinder a territorial charter and take like possession of their property under a united states authorization we could teace trace to nore no reliable foundation if it is so it does not appear the theo mormon delegate GO eg agate me in it congress mr hooper certainly did not object to it on oil any ally such ground in a recent speech ho he seems only to have objected li because causell it was a papon paper com company pany alm aim aiming g luo ito not t to build a railroad but only to obtain land grants rants nants and issue bon uon bonds ANlie whether ther then rt it bo true that the Pittsburg liers in this corporation mean lueana a ii railroad or ran an operation in land and bond bondt course can only be conjectured but it I 1 is a
