rainbow is good especially at the inlet Blacksmith Fork is reported good for rainbow and browns with bait lures and flies doing the trick Rainbow fishing at Rock Port Reservoir rates poor while Woodruff Reservoir rates a fair Worms and lures are working best Moose Hunts Open Elk hunts open Saturday October 5 for all elk units except the Ileaston and Fish Lake The moose hunt on the north slope of the Uinta Mountain opens for the ten permit holders on this unit Additional areas have been included in the open area for bull elk hunters this season and these new units have attracted added hunters to the open bull elk hunting just initiated last Elk and moose year Both the Cache and Nebo areas are expected to attract a large number of hunters due to their proximity to metropolitan areas and to their generally good hunting How the hunters will fare this year is difficult to predict since the open bull elk areas expanded but something about like last years 20 percent on the open bull hunt should w-er- be close All elk and moose areas are declared temporary game preserves and the only persons who may carry firearms are those persons possessing elk or moose permits except that game season is set to ojien October 1 for beaver and mink with a later November opening or marten as set by the Board of Fish and Game at an earlier in Salt Lake City meeting The Board again gave complete protection to the otter by declaring no open season for this year Fish and Game Board members set regulations essentially the same as past years by setting the beaver mink season as October 1 through
