Inter-relationshi- ps Dr Henry Simon professor of Irving Wasserman famed pianist will present a concert Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock in the auditorium in connection with the summer session Mr Wasserman began studying piano when very young in Poland In n Vienna he studied with Edward and later studied in Belgium After coming to the United States he appeared in several concerts and presented programs on various radio networks while residing in New York Well known to Logan music lovers Mr Wasserman has appeared in Logan concerts and is a distinguished piano instructor He was recently released from duty with the United States '& Mabelle Glenn Arrives army On "A two week tiful lake area H B Hunsaker and hiking trip Mabelle Glenn music supervisor of the Kansas city public schools has arrived on the campus to continue a program of elementary school music summer session officials reported Saturday A national leader in the field of public school music Miss Glenn has been guest teacher in leading American colleges and universities During the past several years she has taught in summer sessions at the Jufliard school of music in New York City the University of Wisconsin at Madison Wisconsin and the University of Illinois at Urbana Illinois She has written many music books and many of them are used extensively in Utah elementary schoole Miss Glenn was chairman of the Explaining the drama poetry and music Dr Simon in the five lectures will discuss the common elements in these arts from the point of view of the man who reads watches or listens and wants to be more articulate about what he likes and doesn’t like and why Dr Simon music critic for PM was born in New York City He studied at Columbia university and Oxford university obtaining a AB in 1923 an MA in 1927 and a PhD in 1932 Prior to accepting a position at Columbia university Dr Simon taught in secondary school as well as at the University of 8ennessee University college of the Southwest (Exeter
