In accordance with a well directed suggestion it has been decided to organize the students and give them the power to The plan is govern themselves for the student body to elect a president vice president and secretary The duties of these officers will be largely social The providing of a live social program for our enjoyment will be their especial work It i3 also proposed that the students assemble for an hour one day each week in a student body meeting at which the president and his corps of officers will preside These meetings will provide an opportunity to discuss any business that may come before the students for their consideration and will also serve as an hour of social communion when programs can be given for the enjoyment of all It is a certainty that among the many teachers and students in attendance that some of the best talent in singing elocution and public speaking that can be found in the state will be represented It isn’t advisable for us to permit those talented in these lines to remain unused We are anxious to be entertained and it is well that they keep in practice Any one who can perform in any way should have an opportunity to do so and it will be the business of the student body officers to find them out and see that they do their part in making this session of the Summer school the best in the history of the institution If you know any one who is a pusher a worker and a good mixer put his name before the students for their consideration Many of us are yet unacquainted and it will be a matter of guess t0 who are the most capable us for th- - bitten that we propose to fill Lets s e the W I |
