Greatly Appreciated By a Large Student Audience Last Friday Night Repeated Last Night A typical college play excellently handled was the concensus of opinion of those who witnessed the U A C Dramatic Club in “The College Widow'” It would be impossible to make a better selection of a play for colFrom lege students to produce beginning to end the play teems with things of intere-- t to college Little touches here and people there of school boy humor little bits of school boy slang show that George Ade well understood the American college student Of the f ur acts the third was probcerably the most interesting tainly the most exciting The football scene was so well executed that the audience wanted to tear down the intervening beard fence and add its shouts to thoe of the students to cheer Atwater on to victory Particularly thrilling was Bessie’s acIhe count of how Bill' Bolton hero and star half back made the touclulow'ii that gave the local team the victory The last act was the most beautiful the bonfire scene being an excellent piece of stage work Aside from the great interest such a play excites in any college community it possesses other qualities makin-- it an excellent piece for production by college students It is not a one man or one woman plav The minor parts are not suppressed so that characters may the leading thereby shine brighter In the production Friday night here was not a weak character Not only were the leading parts well sus tained but at times the miimr parts were so well executed that f they monopolized the attention the audience MBs Kerr in the title role “The College Widow” fully lived up to She made clear all expectations that the reason she had remained “The College Widow” was because the right man had not himself and no one presented
