Show Friday, December 20, 1957 WESTMINSTER PARSON Page 4 Admis sions Counselor Tells of Job, Many student? to whom I am introduced as the New Admissions Counsellor are not sure what an Admissions, Counselor means to the Westminster Community. Jit seema va necessity, therefore, to explain something about the Admissions program. The job of the Admissions Counselor is to contact prospective students, and to present to them the advantages of Westminster as a college choice. The names of prospective students come to us by their own requests for information; from ministers, high school counselors, alumni, and friends of the college; and perhaps most important; from those of you now at Westminster. Speak The International Student Relations Seminar of the Utah Region will take place: February 14, 15 and 16, 1958 at the University of Utah. This college as a perspective member of USNSA i3 invited and urged to recommend three students as candidates for the Seminar. The purpose of the Regional Seminar is three-fol1.- To inform member campuses and particularly more campus leaders, about international student relations and the importance of NSAs overseas relations with other national unions of students. 2. To encourage and stimulate more effective campus- - foreign student and international programming through exchange of ideas among schools, thereby effecting more direct participation in (the work of the international commission, which, in turn, will provide even better campus programs. 3. This sport is the most popular of the Westminster intramural program. So organize your team now. Play will start right after Christmas vacation. Games will be played on Wednesday evenings in the gym. Six universities from the area will be repour on resented campus. Dick Nochols and Mike Davis are busy scheduling the events for the day. Among these events will be a Queens Contest in which all Universities 'compete in this contest. As yet this Queen has not been selected. One of the qualifications for this contest is that the young lady selected as queen must be a freshman. Now freshman girls dont get excited if you see Mike Davis, Dick Nichols or Don Coleman peering at you from air angles. After all its all in the line of business. All I.K.s interested in. the I.K. scholarship are reminded to turn the application forms in before January the 16th! So hurry and fill them out fellows.
