The hard-chargin- well-kicke- Dixie College opened up the scoring with an early first quarter touchdown when one of the talented twins of Dixie scooted over standing up, climaxing a 55 yard drive to the gold and purple goal. The conversion went wide after the Westminster line rushed the kicker. About midway in the second quarter, Fullback Dale Gebo consistently went through the middle, picking up valuable yardage, while the Grand Ole Man, Paul Brown, went around the outside and systematically hit both ends, little Willie Rose and Frank Klekas, with accurate passes. After a beautiful reverse by Bruce Lamus and one of Paul Browns exceptional runs. Dale Gebo blasted through the middle into pay dirt. Coming back strong in the second half, the Dixie Flyers, led by Ferd and Fred Nielson, scored again when Leon Pearce hammered the Parson line for three successive line plays to give the Flyers a 13-- 7 lead. But the Parsons, egged on by a good cheering section, fought back, with Brown, Rex Ballard and Bruce Lamus leading the attack. After Dick Dahle intercepted a pass, Brown completed a fling to former all state George Dimas, starting the come-bactrip. After a series of downs, the Parsons found themselves on Dixies line- - From there, Paul Browns elusive en run was good to tie up the game, but not for long, as Lamus came in to make the conversion and give the Parsons the margin of victory. A lot of credit should go to the coach and to the other players who really played a bang-ugame. Gus Klekas, Pop Johnson, Charles Knight, Jim Pollock, Tom Sheldon, Sonny Cornejo, Jim Sako and John Calevas all turned in better than average line play, while Lenny Anderson and Kay Palmer came in to keep the backfield men on the go. so-call- ed 3, 7-- Womens Athletic Association on the Westminster campus is out to bring added glory to the Parson school by enlarging their athletic pro- gram to include a womens basketball team to play in the Girls Church League.
