millions and the withdrawal of the same amou abou amount nt of greenbacks green backs it also provides for setting aside yearly 0 one ne hundred and fifty millions of customs receipts to pay tiie the lir lif interest terest on the public debt for the sinking fund and to reduce the principal abbot offered a resolution which was adopted reciting the outrages frequent in the So southern uthera states and directing the tche committee of the judiciary to tot tol inquire into tho the power of the government to protect citizens and to report what legislation is required and the tiie constitutionality
