1862 the seventh annual exhibition of the deseret agricultural and manufacturing society will be held in great salt lake city on the 21 ad and fth of october next all articles intended for competition must positively be brought baroug to the clerk of the fair vair during andoci except vegetables vegetables tables fruits and flowers which may be fort forthcoming vege coming on or before 5 8 am oct 21 the respective committees will make their awards on the m aning miming of october the aj and the public be admitted at noon none but members will be eligible to draw premiums the standard of premiums will in all cases be according 1 to that best adapted to our climate and soil each branch society ba has hab s the privilege of appointing one out member to each class of the awarding committees and should report the appointment to the secretary of this association immediately should there be any article exhibited not advertised to draw premiums the respective committees may should they deem them worthy of a prize recommend the same to the board of directors for their consideration where articles are exhibited in any class below delow the premium standard standards no prize will be awarded matured animals having taken the 11 fist u st class premium at any pravio is state fair are not eligible for future competition no prize will be awarded to any manufactured article baving having drawn a premium at any previous state exhibition and DO no one article is eligible for two prizes the chairman or a delegate from each committee are respectfully requested to attend the meeting the stock raisers to bring forward their finest improved stock that in this laudable and important branch there may be an exhibition calculated to awaken and inspire a taste for tor improvement the premiums offered below though smaller than heretofore are more liberal than our funds warrant but we hope to pay the same promptly in such funds as the society may collect or meet the same from our
