"I also want to get married in the LDS temple, and be a good husband and father." site-seein- g Mom is the fifth of nine daughters, born to R.J. and Jennie Myers April 11, 1918, at Panguitch, Utah. She was raised on a farm with eight sisters in Spring Lake, Utah. With a love and appreciation for the country environment, she and dad chose to raise their family in Spring lake, buying the Myers farm. It was there, in that beautiful little town, that she has spent over 60 years of her life. Mother married our dad. Grant Lyman June 26, 1937, in Payson, Utah; they were sealed in the Manti Temple. It was in Spring Lake that each of her six children were taught that life is about "serving others" and "unconditional love" for everyone. Our dad passed away in August 1998; prior to his death, they had started spending winters in St. George, Utah, and mother has continued living there during the winter birthday. months. Her hobbies have been gardening, decorating, painting everything (from ceramics to barns), and, most recently, she has compiled genealogy and histories for each of her family and for many friends. Mom enjoys doing temple work and loved serving an L.D.S. mission with Dad in the Philippines. Thanks, Mom, for your unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ, your wonderful example, and for loving us in spite of our weaknesses- - your sons, Fred G., Kenvin M., Jay H., Brent R. (Susan), Ross M. (Amy), and your daughter, Jennie Ruth (Ron) Alvey. We will be honoring her with a dinner and family gathering. If anyone would like to wish her a happy birthday, please feel free to come by and visit her at their daughters home, 13079 South State Road, Spring Lake, Sunday afternoon, April 12.
