Mr. Frost is the theatre arts director at Mountain View High School in Orem and is the sponsor of the societys troupe 3490 there. More than 3,000 schools around the world are members of ITS. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, the organizasociety is a tion dedicated to the advancement of secondary school theatre. Mr. Frosts involvement with ITS began during his own high school years, when he was a member of the Thespian troupe at Spanish Fork High School. More recently, he served two terms as the Utah state Thespian director before being elected to the ITS board of trustees. In June Mr. Frost traveled to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, for the societys Thespian Festival '83. Mr. Frost handled at the major responsibilities 4 non-prof- it October 3rd trustee the worlds Festival, of secondary largest gathering school, theatre teachers and students. The 1983 Festival hosted more than 1,700 delegates, representing all 50 states, as well as Canada, Denmark, Egypt, Finland and Panama. Albert Hague, who starred in the film and television series "Fame as Professor Shorofsky, was a special guest at the Thespian Festival. Young actress Dana Hill, who has appeared in episodes of "Magnum, P.I. and "The Fall Guy, in the and who film "Cross Creek, also attended the Festival as a special guest of ITS. While at the Festival, Mr. Frost taught a workshop in Shakespearean acting, and his theatre students presented a play for the conference delegates. Mr. Frost is now preparing a production for the upcoming Utah State Thespian Conference to be held at Box Elder High School in Brigham Citv. which is co-sta- rs Elmers honored on Golden Anniversary Max and Grace Elmer will be honored at an open house celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary given by their children on Sunday, October 30, 1983, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the home of Merlene and Mose Johnson, 355 South Chrisman Dr., Salem. The couple were married October 30, 1933, in Payson, Utah. Max was born in Payson on October 30, 1913, to Earl and Laura Haskel Elmer. He owned and managed a milk route and also a thrasher and bailer business for 12 years. He worked at Pacific States Pipe Plant for 28 years. They now own Elmer Awning Co. Grace was born in Panguitch on December 29, 1916, to Richard and Jenny Wilcock Myers. She worked at Zion Upholstery for 18 years. They have their home in St. George and also spend a lot of their time at their summer home in Woodland. They are the parents of one son and three daughters: Dan Elmer, Payson; Mrs. Ray (Bonnie) Singleton, Orem; Mrs. Mose (Merlene) Johnson, Salem; and Mrs. Rex (Vonda) Bouchard, South Weber. This sale will be an annual event that will take place twice during the summer months. The purpose of these will be to upgrade the Miss Payson Pageant, the Board is excited about the Miss Payson Pageant and will be holding workshops for the girls interested after the first of the year. The sale was a big success and a special thanks is extended to the finance committee; also a big thanks to Elvin "Snaff Woods for all his help and support without which it would have been very difficult to have completed. Jessica Thomas, eleven-year-ol- d daughter of Jay and Judy Thomas, has completed the sixth and final level in the Suzuki Method of piano. She will be prerecital a Thursday, senting October 20, 1983, at 7 p.m. She was Sherrie Dunfords first Suzuki student and is also her first student to complete all six levels. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. ONE YEAR OLDS Dave McMuilin Lacy Gull Hit My name is Dave Lee McMuilin. I just had my first birthday on October 18th. There to help me celebrate were my Dad and Mom, David and Janet McMuilin, and my sister Melanie. Lacy Chante Gull celebrated her first birthday on September 23, 1983. She is the daughter of Melvin J. Gull of Spanish Fork, and Kym Gull of Payson. My grandparents are Dave and Bessie McMuilin and Louis and Madeline Minnick, all of Payson. Grandparents are Earl and Carol Gull of Spanish Fork and Paul and Dorothy Hurst of Payson. Kurt William Carter celebrated his first birthday on October 10, 1983.
