He was bom on July 3, 1924, in Magna, Utah, the son of Samuel Thomas and Joneana Curtis. He Johnson. married on Warren 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif. He was educated in Spanish Fork schools. He worked for Davis Construction in Provo for a number of years and prior to that he owned and operated the Turf Cafe in" Payson. He has been retired since 1975. He was a member of the LaVee 10, August and Payson J.C.s served as president of the club. He was a member 15-ye- ar of the Elks Lodge. He was a member of the LDS Church.
