Show p'i Papon Migrant education programs slated (Eliromcle Wednesday, May 28, 1980, page 5 Nebo School District 1200 W. 100 Spanish Fork, Anderson. or 798-744- S., Mark 4 377-273- 3062 learning experience for children 5 to 17 years of age under Title I and a day care center for the diyounger children under the rection of the Migrant Council. The migrant families come into this area mainly from Texas and Arizona to work in the Farmers fields and orchards. are urged to encourage the migrant children to attend the summer school. In addition to the .educational program, meals are provided for the children under the special food service program. Free meals will be made available to those meeting the approved eligibility criteria and will be offered without regard to race, creed, color or national origin and also to the handicapped. Prior to the start of the project, the public may make suggestions or recommendations concerning the migrant education program. These suggestions or recommendations should be directed to Garth Olson at the district office or Roland Hamilton at the Salem is spon- soring an educational program this summer for children of It will migratory farm workers. be held at the Salem Elementary School according to Garth Olson, Director of Federal Programs. Anderson Farm Service Center May28X Payson Stake father and son outing One of the highlights of the year for the men and boys of Pay-so- n Utah Stake is the annual Fathers and Sons Outing to be held on Friday and Saturday June 6 and 7 at the Old Pinery Recreation Area located south and east of Nephi. Committee members report that plans are complete to make 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served by each ward on Saturday morning. Campers are reminded to bring their sleeping bags and eating utensils. No two or three wheeled motor vehicles or firearms will be allowed in the area. It is expected that 700 to 800 fathers and sons will be on hand for the annual event. Campers who use the area during the outing and throughout the year should remember that hauling of wood from the area is prohibited. In case of inclement weather the outing will be held at the Payson Utah Stake Center. this another outstanding activity. Signs will be posted south of Nephi to guide participants to the camp site.
