Part of this collection will be featured in an exhibit that opens May 14 at the Glendinning Gallery, 617 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. There will be a reception honoring the women who donated their work to the collection on May 13 at the Gallery. Also honored will be Alta and Austin E. Fife, whose rubbings and historical information donated to the Council by Maury early research on Martha gravestones laid the Haseltine, Schack. Peg Billings, Jo BrAoks and Mary George. Interested in folk art and folklore, these women have traveled to cemetaries throughout the state to do rubbings of signifi- cant stones.
