Owens, 40, of Logan, announced his candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives from Utahs First District with this statement: Americas future is in our hands and morality is the issue! We must focus on the dignity and morality of the individual even at the expense of the good of society, or the concept of individual liberty will be lost in the search for security and equality. The framers of our inspired U.S. Constitution were personally familiar the political and financial problems plaguing us today and found excellent solutions to them, which we would be wise to today. Instead, we frequently substitute supposedly new solutions which shorare generally tsighted complications. with ly Owens In 1964 Mr. Owens cum laude graduated from the University of Utah with a major in History and secondary education.
