Monte and EsteUa Bowen Curtis ot Payson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, August 27, 1977. Friends and relatives are invited to an open house at the home of their son, Duane Curtis, at 497 South 700 East in Payson, from 7 to 9 that evemng. They were married August 27, 1927, in Salt Lake City and have been residents of Payson since 1932. Mrs. Curtis is active in the L.D.S. Church and has served m Primary, Sunday School, Mutual and in the Relief Society in the First Ward. Mr. Curtis was a member of the Payson City Council, the First Ward Bishopric, a member of the High Council, Sunday School and Mutual. He is now in the High Priest Quorum of the 10th Ward. Mr. Curtis worked at Pacific States Cast iron Pipe Company for 43 years and was general foundry foreman at the time ot his retirement. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis are the parents of four children: Mrs. Ario E. (Dorothy) Stott of Las Vegas; Monte D. Curtis Jr, and Duane Curtis of Payson; and Raymond Curtis of Salt Lake City. S. Skaggs Memorial Chapel on August 20. A rehersal dinner was held at Log Haven and a reception given at Heritage House. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney R. Tregaskis of Salt Lake City and graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education. She will teach this fall at Judge Memorial High School in Salt Lake City. I he groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling L. Coombs of Payson, and graduated from Utah State Umversity with a Bachelor of Science Degree m Aeronautical Technology.
