Lynn Frost (artistic director) needed the hide-ouwhich is camouflaged as a hill on one side, to look very animated and be very large. Cathy Black (choreographer) needed it to be strong enough to hold several teenagers, little boys and, of course, Captain Hook. Sidewalk Sales are Saturday, Monday and Tuesday in Spanish Fork. And Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the City Park there will be a Band Concert. at Wednesday morning 7 a.m. there will be the Marathon Race at Oak Crest Inn. The Swim Meet will be at 1 p.m. at the City Pool and is open to all. Director for the production will be C. Michael Perry, with Joey Wilkins as the assistant director. The leading roles will bi played by Alice P. Black ats Annie Oakley, Grant Wolsey as Frank Butler, Del Ray Hammons as Charlie Davenport, Rex Molham as Buffalo Bill, Beth Whitaker as Dolly, Arlo Mitchell as Sitting Bull, Jim Umber as Pawnee ( Bill and Jurgens as Wilson. The part of Little Jake Oakley will be shared by David Thomas and Matt Muir. Technical Director will be Kurt Jurgens; Vocal Director, Dawn Taylor; Dance and Choreography, Nan MacKenzie; and Orchestration, Steve Bracken-burJim and Alma Umber are Stage Managers. The set for this production' was designed by George Tanner. This musical will be presented at the Spanish Fork High School, 99 North 300 West, on July 19, 20, 22, 23 and 8 y. special invitation is extended on the 19th to all patrons of the Spanish Fork Community Theatre, where special reserve seating will be available for them. Peter Pan will open August 29, during the Payson Golden Onion Days celebration. foam-covere- (EljrOmcle When Opera West, Utah Countys own opera company, presents The Book of Mormon Oratorio by Leroy Robertson at the end of July, there will be some hometown singers carrying major roles. This will be the first time the oratorio has used costumes and sets as well as the first time it has been performed outdoors. The area between the Art Museum and the Middle School provides a natural amphitheatre. Rob Dunn of Springville will be singing the role of the Evangelist for Opera West. Rob lives in Springville with his wife Polly and their three children and teaches voice privately and music at Spanish Fork Middle School. Rob has been the musical director for several Payson Community Theatre shows such as this 1776, years Peter Pan, Annie. He received a B.A. in choral and instrumental conducting from B.Y.U. and was also named Outstanding Vocal Student there. His performing credits include major roles in The Magic Flute, La Abraham and Isaac, Oakland the and Boheme, Temple Pageant. He has also soloed with the Utah Chorale and in the Messiah. In Harmer s duration with Stevens-HenagCollege, she majored in Accounting and the Travel and Airline career programs. By dual majoring, Harmer added a great deal of er er strength to her education. I am happy with my choice of attending The between relationships students and teachers are very close, explained Harmer. My future plan is to obtain employment with a major airline. Tomoko. Harmer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis C. Pulver and is married to Scott K. Harmer. Bret Butler received an Associate Degree in Computer Science from Stevens-Henage- 24th. Rob Dunn to solo in Book of Mormon Peter Pan again Payson Community Theatre has become one of the most professional theatre groups in the State of Utah. In 1970, they Peter Pan, now presented fifteen years later they will combine the many years of experience and talents to stage Peter Pan again, in a theatrical delight. The talents of set designer Tony Taylor, set construction manager, and Lynn Frost, artistic director, have teamed together to present the most fascinating World of Fantasy ever staged by PCT. This group created the sets for the powerful 1984 summer production 7 r. Stevens-Henage- r. Upon graduation he received a job as a programmer for Digital Technologies International. My employment with Digital entails programming computer systems and travel to various areas throughout the country installing computers and teachhow to use ing individuals them, said Butler. He added, Without the fine education I received from 1 would not have nearly as nice of a job as Stevens-Henage- r, Ido. She said the job requires all the necessary skills of general office work.
